The school „NOVA TERRA“ in the Via Giuda Rossa, situated in the new urban district Buccinasco Più, an outer quarter of Milan/Italy, is the first public building, that is completely illuminated by the „Light of the Future“.  

Hilden, December 2009. After a testing period during the first summer months of 2009, everything is ready for induction and for the citizens and school to benefit of an environment-friendly lighting system. “The decision for implanting this innovative technique has been influenced by two important elements“, explains engineer Luigi Masella. „On one hand, we have considered the economical aspect to gain a concrete cost reduction, on the other side we did not want to neglect the environmental aspect and the health of the citizens and students. This is the group of people we focused on, when we have planned the thermal isolation of the building and the sound protection of the class rooms, to guarantee the safety and the quietness for the students at the place, where they spend the biggest part of their days.”
